| STANDING UP FOR HEALTH CARE | ||
Members of CUPE 3500 recently joined Hospital Employees' Union members at a march and rally outside an Interior Health board meeting to call for an end to the contracting out of HEU jobs in hospital housekeeping and plant services at Vernon Jubilee and Kelowna General hospitals. The need for solidarity continues, as yesterday 450 HEU care aides in North Vancouver, Vancouver and Coquitlam lost their jobs in the largest mass firing of health care workers since the BC Liberals' first term in office. |
